I've kept a birdfeeder now since last winter and I have to say I truly enjoy sitting on the porch and just observing the activity. I had to research in the beginning to identify the birds that were showing up at the feeder ( by "research" i mean I used the pictures on the back of the birdseed bag.) I've seen Carolina chickadees, wrens, cardinals, titmice, finches, and woodpeckers.
I managed to get a decent shot of what I believe is a goldfinch. I don't see them as often as the other birds.

unfortunately for them, they like to forage on the ground for castaway seeds.
