On Friday I loaded the baby kiln for it's first cone 6 glaze firing. These are some glaze tests I added because I am trying to salvage a blue glaze that continues to fire very un blue. I'm giving this glaze too many chances; I really should just scrap it.
On Saturday I unloaded the kiln and was quite disappointed with the results. The pots with the aforementioned "blue glaze" are really just shiny with very little blue. I'm going to try one more thing and then I'm dumping this glaze if it still doesn't comply with my wishes. I just hate to throw away good glaze or any art material for that matter and so I'm trying my damnedest to make it work.
On Sunday I threw my ass off. I even skipped my Sunday yoga class because I was so into it. I was on a cup binge; must've thrown about 345 cups. Which of course needed to be trimmed and carved come Monday....
I'm getting ready to open an Etsy shop. I used this time off to research packaging supplies and shipping costs. I'm also trying to amass a good deal of pots just in case my dreams are attained and the majority of the world realizes that they cant live another day without one of my cups.I've been neglecting home duties on the weekends in order to work on this so I can be ready.
