Art is not what you see but what you make others see. Edgar Degas

as of late

I've been trying to design some jewelry pieces after receiving some great complements when I wear things I've made.  I'm specifically obsessed with earrings right now.

These are the forms that started it all.
I've made them in silver and now copper.

I really like copper, especially the aged brown copper.  I'm still working on finding a patina that ages the metal.  Certain chemical reactions will speed up the oxidation process and create that rich brown color I like.

Brass.
Natural patina.
This was an accidental patina.  Still trying to figure out how to authentically recreate it.
For now, only two pairs exist.

Brass.
These are a favorite.
Kind of art deco-y.

Brass.

Some rings in process.
Again, I'm really in love with aged copper.
I wore one of my rings for a few hours and it turned my finger green.
Gotta figure out a way to keep that from happening.....

Earrings in progress.

Well, there you go.
I'd like to come up with a name for this jewelry line but I'm not having any luck.
I think I want it to be a name, but not my own name.
Not sure what direction to go in really....
We'll see.
