Kelly King
Here is another piece that I really love. I actually met Kelly one day at the gallery where she sells her work. I was giddy. I swear, you'd think I was meeting Johnny Depp or something.
Of course, I spent way too much on the cup but I just had to have it. It was one of those love at first sight moments. I tend to be attracted to pots that I am unable to make. Unable because of the firing, the form, or the surface design. I'm not a drawer so I am drawn ( pun intended) to pots with drawings and I actually have quite a few hand built pieces because I am a horrible hand builder. It requires too much patience. I prefer throwing. Immediate Gratification.
